I’m sorry we’re out of Cake. We only had 3 pieces and didn’t expect the rush…

About Me

You Found Me!

Well done! My name’s Chris, but you probably worked that out by now. I live in Devon with my lovely wife Rosie and our cat Gershwin. Snowboarding would be our number one “we-don’t-do-this-enough-but-would-do-it-all-the-time-if-we-were-rich-and-didn’t-have-to-work” past time.

I write code for a living, but like to keep my based covered in the realm of IT and do bits and pieces of sysadmin and hardware troubleshooting and the like.

I love discovering new technology and experimenting with it. I love building prototypes more than anything, and that’s why I’m so excited about Rapid Application Development frameworks (like CakePHP, Symfony, Ruby on Rails, Lithium (my current most anticipated and watched framework) and so many others).

Some Facts not everyone knows about me (but will after reading this I guess…)

  • I like to cook, mostly because I also like to eat.
  • I like to balance on things.
  • I don’t really like fruit.

Now that you know me a bit better, why not buy something for me from my Amazon.co.uk Wishlist (NB, that Wii Dancing Matt thing, that’s for Rosie, not me… honest).

This blog will cover things I’m interested in and any projects or code I am writing. If you where after DarkAuth, use the CakePHP baked in Auth Component. It will actually do pretty much everything DarkAuth could, but better. I might put the last working source code on here but it’s not a priority.

So read the blog, and enjoy it. Leave me a comment or contact me if you feel like it.

Chris
